The Business Support & Development Officer will provide high-level operational and commercial support to the Director and Registered Manager, helping to strengthen business development activity, improve organisational capacity, and support sustainable growth.

The role will focus on coordinating business development, tendering, sales support, marketing activity, and stakeholder engagement, enabling the Director to maintain regulatory compliance, operational oversight, and strategic leadership. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring new contract opportunities are identified, progressed, and converted into service delivery. Person Specification:

Essential Experience & Knowledge

a. We’re looking for someone with Experience in a business support, business development support, sales coordination, or commercial support role.
b. Experience working within or alongside health, social care, or regulated service environments.
c. Understanding of public-sector commissioning, procurement, or tendering processes.
d. Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven environments.
e. Experience supporting senior managers or directors.

Essential Skills & Competencies

a. Strong written skills with experience preparing professional documents, reports, and bid content.
b. Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
c. Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with external stakeholders.
d. Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
e. Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market information.
f. IT-literate with experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
g. Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
